I saved so many more highlights just because of the uniqueness of the old physics. It's fair to say UFC 2 ushers in a number of changes which may initially alienate those who are used to playing Ultimate Team on FIFA or Madden. I’ll take a few wild KO physics over the stiff redundant ones we have now. I have no clue why they never really gave us the KOs we had before back. *UFC 2 was actually still installed, yeah, that striking was super wacky lol. I really should reinstall UFC 2 just to see how it felt again. Which feels completely unrealistic and not immersive since it’s just video game mechanics and not a realistic feel for finding openings for the takedown.īut 3 does have cage grappling to some extent and forward moving striking. Just about everything successfully takedown requires using takedowns that need to be pre denied.
Plus takedown logic/windows make no sense now compared to 2. it’s unfortunate since striking is improved. Vulnerable system is too predictable, head movement and footwork actually lost some functions from 2, combos still rely on a somewhat gimmicky feeling mechanic. Of the 3 is much more complete in everything, many more game options, I am a lover of the fight on foot, I love that it has within the options that type of fight, although it would be even better if in addition to that type of fight we will also have boxing and muay thai, I hope we can count on them in UFC 4.Īnd of the UFC undisputed with respect to the EA games the grip system and the fight on the ground, as well, I really liked its playability, and it is that being a game of the previous generation still has things that EA games do not have, such as injuries, to be able to tie in fights that are matched, to be able to create up to 40 fighters, which is not that they are many, but something is something in comparison to the 22 of the last two titles of EA.īut even so I would not say that UFC 2 and especially UFC 3 were so heavy, if you could expect a lot more, hopefully UFC 4 is a much more complete gameĪs much as UFC 3 improved striking, it’s so much around it that’s set it back. Man I do not say that none is wonderful, but I would not say of them that they were so heavy, the only one who really did not like me for missing everything was the first one, I would only save the comments in Spanish, because these comments are appreciated, especially for a European in Spain ?? as I am, although they are spoken by Mexicans, but at least I understand I understand it, not like the English that unfortunately I do not understand.įrom 2, the KOS who, as they say, are very good to see. Maybe you’ll be the first one to say the original EA Sports UFC is the best game.Īll 3 are bad in different ways, don’t bother with any of them It’s also very easy to find the games for cheap online if you don’t want to subscribe to EA Access.Īlso, don’t forget to head by the thread and give your own take on 1, 2 or 3 if you have it.
So if you’re hankering for some UFC action, don’t forget that path is open for you. Regardless of which game you prefer, all three are “free” if you have EA Access. In UFC 3, You can still just throw punches and combos while treating it more like a boxing game (like UFC 2), but you can also focus more on grapples and submissions if you want to go down that road. You can still easily find online matches, and it’s the more balanced game overall.
UFC 3, on the other hand, did take some time to get to where it is today (like, well over a year) but still has a strong base of online fans even today. It was also just a simpler game so it’s easier to get into from a controls standpoint. UFC 2 has a superior knockout system and physics on those knockouts, which is where a lot of the “fun” portion comes from with that comment. The majority opinion so far seems to be UFC 3 if you’re into realism and best overall game, but UFC 2 if you just want to have a good time. He asks about 1, 2 and 3 since he hasn’t played a UFC game since UFC Undisputed. With that in mind, there’s a fresh thread on OS where user foe87 is asking what people think is the best EA UFC game so far.
So it’s fair to say we’re starved for some game details. In fact, the most recent news we have is of a developer leaving the EA UFC team. We’re still waiting on news for EA Sports UFC 4.
